What is TrueUSD?

TrueUSD is one of the older dollar-pegged stablecoins, launched in 2018. Its early distinction from peers was publishing reserve attestation reports more frequently to increase transparency.

Ownership and operation of TrueUSD have changed hands several times over the years, now associated with entities based in Asia.

Risks to weigh: TrueUSD has had periods of difficulty processing redemption requests and maintaining a stable peg, denting market confidence relative to USDT or USDC. It is a case study in how even an established stablecoin is not immune to operational and governance risk.

Where to buy TUSD in Vietnam
