What is Starknet?

Starknet is an Ethereum layer-two network using a cryptographic method different from most competitors: generating mathematical proofs confirming the correctness of a batch of transactions without publishing every transaction's detail, enabling fast, low-cost verification on the main chain.

This approach in principle allows much faster withdrawals to Ethereum than the challenge-period model used by some other layer-two networks.

Risks to weigh: this proving technology is mathematically and technically complex, requiring a highly skilled development team and significant computing resources. Its application ecosystem is still developing and smaller than some other layer-two competitors.
