What is PAX Gold?

PAX Gold is a token backed by physical gold. Each PAXG unit corresponds to one ounce of London Good Delivery gold held in London vaults. Holders can in principle redeem for physical metal.

The product allows fractional gold ownership with fast transfer and no storage burden. Compared with buying bullion, storage and insurance costs are lower.

Risks to weigh: value depends entirely on the issuer actually holding the gold and reporting honestly. This is counterparty risk, quite different from self-storing metal. Buyers should also note this is a gold price-tracking instrument, not a crypto asset in the usual sense, so its price drivers differ entirely from Bitcoin or Ethereum.

Where to buy PAXG in Vietnam

Since 1 September 2026, investors in Vietnam must trade crypto assets through providers licensed by the Ministry of Finance. Current licensing status is below.
